A hog roast near Wembley

Corporate hog roast for your staff event in Wembley

Instead of booking a restaurant, bring the food to the team. Keep everyone on site with a hog roast. Typical bookings include client hospitality and summer team parties, serving hog roast rolls, crackling and spit-roast lamb.

London work events in Wembley frequently run to a tight lunch break, so we roast ahead and carve fast. Tell us about site access and security. Everything is cooked on the day, at your venue, slowly, over several hours, then carved fresh for your staff.

Looking after everyone

Not everyone eats pork, so plan an alternative. Helpful tips:

  • Request gluten-free rolls
  • Tell us about vegetarians and vegans
  • Remember that stuffing normally contains gluten
  • Halal is not offered, so arrange it separately if needed

Let us know about changes: a cooked roast can be held for a while.

China crockery is available for client events.

Prices and what affects them

The biggest factors are:

  • Menu choices and extras
  • The journey to the venue
  • Site access
  • Numbers

A hog roast is often good value for a crowd, since one roast goes a long way. The menu, extras such as china and the serving time all affect the final price.

What to tell us

The more we know, the more accurate the quote. Please include:

  • Where the roaster could go, ideally with a picture
  • Rough numbers
  • Your menu choices
  • Where the event is

Numbers not final yet? A rough figure is fine for a first quote, and you can confirm nearer the time. Send us your details through our quote form.

How the day works

The roaster cooks outdoors, on a level, open spot under cover, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches. We’ll agree the spot with you beforehand. Lunchtime bookings in Wembley are in daylight all year; winter evening events are dark by about 3:55pm, so evening events need a lit cooking area. Summer events have daylight until around 9:20pm.

  1. Send us the site, date, numbers and break time.
  2. We confirm the site details and send a price.
  3. The roast starts early on site.
  4. Our chef carves and our staff serve on time.
  5. We tidy up and leave.

How to prepare

  • Name a contact for the day
  • Make sure the cooking area is away from walls, tents and trees
  • Confirm numbers ahead of the day

Catered or do it yourself?

DIY hire works best when someone in the family loves cooking. For bigger or more formal events, catering takes the pressure off.

We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You do the roasting and carving; we will confirm what comes with it when you ask.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Compared with a barbecue run by staff, nobody from the team is stuck cooking. Midweek and quieter months are often easier to book, and the menu you choose matters too. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest what works.

What you get with us

  • Staff to serve, so you don’t have to
  • We bring everything to cook and serve
  • Carved to order by a chef
  • A choice of salads and potatoes

Planning the cooking spot

Most gardens, car parks, yards and fields work if a few things are right. Here’s what we look for:

  • A level spot in the car park, yard or grounds
  • Somewhere to park our vehicle
  • A named contact for the day

As a London location, Wembley is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Questions from Wembley

Can you get a hog roast into a London garden in Wembley?

Frequently, if there’s a rear gate, a front garden or a yard we can use. Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Could you cook in Preston Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council, and many parks don’t allow cooking. Check with them first.

Can you send documents for facilities?

Requirements vary: pass on your list and we will respond.

What about family fun days?

Yes. Give us total numbers and we’ll plan for everyone.

Can you feed everyone in a short break?

Tell us the numbers and the time and we’ll make it work.

Who serves?

You don’t need anyone else: our chef carves and our team serves and clears.

How do you work out quantities?

The roast is chosen to suit how many you are feeding, so tell us your best estimate. We’ll confirm the menu in the quote.

Can you roast in the rain?

The roaster is under cover, so a shower does not stop us. Plan somewhere sheltered for eating.

Working with your venue
