About our wedding hog roast in Terrick

Not every guest eats pork, so we plan for that: lamb, chicken, halloumi skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. Halal meat isn’t available. For evening receptions and marquee receptions, we’ll put together a menu of carved roast pork, salads and new potatoes and more.

Rural weddings around Terrick have a magic of their own, and slow-roasted pork carved for guests adds to it. Plan firm ground and a route for our vehicle. Everything we need to roast, carve and serve comes with us, and we leave the spot tidy when we go.

Planning help

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Some couples have a formal meal and a hog roast in the evening; others have the hog roast as the main event. Weekday and off-season dates can be easier to book, and the menu you choose matters too. Ask us and we will suggest the best fit for your budget.

What you get with us

  • Carved to order by a chef
  • Rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • A choice of salads and potatoes
  • An itemised quote

See our prices page and our hog roast cost guide.

Looking after everyone

Tell us about dietary needs early and we will help. Tips:

  • Count non-pork eaters, for lamb, chicken or a vegetarian choice
  • Remember that stuffing generally contains gluten
  • Share the menu with your venue coordinator
  • Ask about dietary needs on your RSVP card

If speeches overrun or the band starts late, we adjust. Just keep us informed.

Salads, new potatoes and roast potatoes make a full wedding breakfast.

A closer look at the menu

Crackling

Crackling takes hours to get right, which is exactly what a slow hog roast gives it.

Roast pork

Slow-roasted pork is the heart of the menu: carved in front of you, a mix of shoulder and leg, straight from the roaster.

Should I cook it myself?

DIY hire works best when someone in the family loves cooking. For bigger or more formal events, catering takes the pressure off.

You could go for a cold buffet, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you, especially outdoors.

  • Roasted on site for several hours, outdoors under cover
  • Our chef carves the pork, with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling on the side
  • Lamb, chicken and vegetarian options alongside the pork
  • Our team serves at your chosen time and clears up afterwards
