Corporate hog roast in West End

About our corporate hog roast in West End

Most teams have a set break, so the roast is timed to the minute. Rolls are the quickest way to serve. We’re often asked to cater long-service celebrations and end-of-project celebrations, serving crackling, rotisserie chicken and salads.

For offices in and around West End, the roaster usually goes in a car park, yard or courtyard, if the building allows gas cooking. Get facilities’ approval for gas cooking early. Your quote spells out what’s included: serving times, the menu, staff and anything else agreed.

A hog roast compared with other options

Compared with individual food vans, a hog roast feeds a lot of people quickly from one roast. UK price guides vary widely: roughly £10 a head for a simple roll, rising past £20 with more included. Every event gets its own quote, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Why West End hosts choose us

  • Our staff serve and clear
  • Choices for people who do not eat pork
  • No surprises: everything in writing
  • Cooked on the day, low and slow

How we price a hog roast for your team

We do not use a fixed price list, because every staff event is different. What matters most:

  • Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
  • Distance from us
  • Crockery choices
  • Menu choices and extras

Extras such as lamb, chicken, more sides or china crockery add to the cost, so we list each one in the quote. Keeping it simple keeps it affordable.

What to tell us

To check the date and the space, tell us:

  • Dietary requirements
  • Any venue rules
  • Which meats and sides you’d like
  • A picture of the cooking area

Every staff event is quoted on its own, based on numbers, menu, timings and distance. Ask us for a quote for your staff event: fill in our quote form.

Diets, allergies and alternatives

Rolls and stuffing usually contain gluten, so ask for gluten-free rolls if you need them. A few more tips:

  • Share the allergen information with the team
  • Request gluten-free rolls
  • Stuffing usually contains gluten, so check the allergen list
  • Tell us about vegetarians and vegans

We’ll sign in and follow site rules, and keep vehicles where you ask.

Ask about china for a more formal lunch.

Questions from West End

Which station is closest to West End?

Tottenham Court Road station, in West End itself.

Can you get a hog roast into a London garden in West End?

It depends on access: a rear gate or yard normally works. Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

What’s included?

Roast pork carved into soft rolls with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. You can add lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options, salads, coleslaw and potatoes.

How do you work out quantities?

We plan quantities from the numbers you give us, and we’ll talk it through when we quote.

Can you feed staff and families?

Yes. Include visitors in your numbers and we will plan for everyone.

Do you cover West End?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, West End and the rest of Greater London included. Send us the address for a quote.

Can it be more formal?

It can be as relaxed or polished as you like, with plates or china.

What paperwork do you provide for our site?

Let us know your site’s requirements, and we will confirm what we can provide.

Should I cook it myself?

The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a big roast takes hours and must be cooked thoroughly. If you’d rather not worry about it, let us cook.

We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You do the roasting and carving; we will confirm what comes with it when you ask.

What we serve, dish by dish

Crackling

For many people, the crackling is the best bit: golden, crunchy and salty, straight off the hog.

Vegan burger or sausage (Ve)

A plant-based burger or sausage covers vegans, in a roll, with salad on the side.

Planners, venues and businesses

Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so check before booking. We’ll liaise with them on access and set-up.

Many venues set rules for outside caterers, from approved lists to where a gas roaster can go. Ask early, and pass on anything they need from us.

What happens on the day

From setting up to the last roll, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your staff event. For a staff lunch in West End, daylight is not an issue, but a winter evening event is dark by about 3:55pm, so plan lighting for later events. A summer after-work event has daylight until about 9:20pm.

  1. Tell us where, when, how many and the serving time.
  2. You get a check on the date and the site, and a quote.
  3. On the day we set up and roast through the morning.
  4. The team carves and serves on time.
  5. Afterwards we clear up and go.

Planning the cooking spot

The roaster needs the right spot, because it cooks outside for several hours, and a little planning goes a long way:

  • Flat ground in a car park or courtyard
  • Vehicle access close to the cooking area
  • Clearance from the building and parked cars

As a London location, West End is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.
