How our party hog roast works in Fitzrovia
Hosting a party means juggling everything at once. With a hog roast, the food is sorted: we roast, carve, serve and clear. Whether it’s big family get-togethers and engagement celebrations, we will put together a menu of a vegan burger or sausage, apple sauce and hog roast rolls.
Most parties in Fitzrovia are at home, and in London that means getting the roaster into the garden. If there is no side gate, tell us about rear access or a front garden. Send us a photo. Our staff serve and clear, so nobody in your party has to serve.

Full catering or machine hire?
Full catering or machine hire? With catering, our chef roasts, carves and serves, and our staff clear up. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.
Roasting a whole hog yourself is possible, but it takes hours of attention, from setting up and lighting the roaster to carving. With us catering, you get to be a host, not a cook.
For planners, venues and organisers
If you are a venue or event planner, we can fit around your other suppliers.
If you’re booking for a workplace, ask your facilities team about outside caterers and gas cooking. We’ll fit in with site rules.

A closer look at the menu
Salads, potatoes and coleslaw
Coleslaw is the natural partner for a pork roll, and salads and new potatoes work well on a plate.
Rotisserie chicken
For guests who do not eat pork, rotisserie chicken is the easy answer, and children generally like it too.
Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
Compared with a restaurant booking, you keep the party at home, with room for everyone. Numbers make the biggest difference: the price per head usually falls as numbers rise, because the roaster, staff and travel cost much the same either way.
Why us?
- We bring everything to cook and serve
- The classics: stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
- Roasted on site, slowly, for hours
- Timed around your day
See our prices page or the cost guide.
Diets, allergies and alternatives
Allergies and dietary needs are easy to manage if we know in advance. Tips:
- Ask us to label vegetarian and vegan food
- Ask about allergies on the invitation
- Tell us how many vegetarians and vegans to expect
- Let us know roughly how many children
Clear the route to the garden before we arrive, so we can wheel the equipment in.
Add chicken for younger or fussier guests.
Prices and what affects them
The price comes down to:
- How long the roast and service take
- How many people are eating
- Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
- How easy it is to reach the spot
A hog roast is often good value for a crowd, since one roast goes a long way. Extras, china and longer service add to it.
What to tell us
To get the best quote, send us:
- Your date and serving time
- What the outdoor space is like
- The address or postcode
- Any extras, such as lamb, chicken or china
It is easy to get a price: tell us when, where, how many and what time you’d like to eat. You will get a clear quote listing what’s included. Send us your details through our quote form.
Where the roaster can go in Fitzrovia
We need room to cook safely and under cover. Things to check:
- Flat ground in the garden or on the drive
- A wet-weather plan for guests
- Space away from the house, fences, sheds and trees
As a London location, Fitzrovia is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.
Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before booking.

The process
We roast under cover, so a shower will not spoil the food. Your guests will still want somewhere dry to eat, such as a marquee, hall or barn. A summer party in Fitzrovia stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.
- You tell us the date, your address, rough numbers and when you’d like to eat.
- We check the date and the garden or drive, then send a quote.
- We set up early and get the hog roasting.
- Our chef carves and our staff serve when you are ready.
- Afterwards we tidy up the serving area.
Getting ready for the day
- Measure the narrowest gate or passage
- Gather dietary requirements early
- Have a covered area for eating in case of rain

Questions from Fitzrovia
Can you do a hog roast in St Anne's Churchyard?
Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them first.
What’s the nearest station to Fitzrovia?
Fitzrovia has its own station: London Euston station.
Is there a non-pork option?
Add lamb, chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan option. We don’t offer halal meat.
Can we just hire the roaster?
DIY machine hire is available. We will confirm what comes with it and how to use it.
How much will it be?
It depends on numbers, the menu and how long we are on site. Send us the details and we’ll quote.
Where does the hog roast go?
A level, open area outdoors with room for the roaster, a gazebo and a carving table, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging trees. We’ll confirm the space with your quote.
Is mains power needed?
Cooking is gas-fired, so no mains power is needed for the roast. A socket nearby is useful for lighting.
Can you roast in the rain?
We cook under a gazebo, so rain isn’t a problem for the roast. A marquee, hall or barn for eating makes all the difference.
- Cooked where you are, slowly, over several hours outdoors
- Our chef carves the pork, with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling on the side
- Options beyond pork, including lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes
- Served by our staff at the time you choose, then cleared away
