About the food
Spit-roast lamb
Lamb on the spit roasts gently for hours, carved to order at the serving station, often with mint sauce.
Roast pork
Everything starts with the slow-roasted pork: carved thick or thin, as people like it, and served hot.
Wedding hog roast in Radnage, slow-roasted on site
We look after guests who do not eat pork: lamb, chicken, halloumi skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. Halal meat isn’t available. Whether it’s marquee weddings and second-day get-togethers, we will put together a menu of rotisserie chicken, new potatoes and carved roast pork and more.
Rural weddings around Radnage have a magic of their own, and a whole hog roasting through the afternoon adds to it. Plan a firm route in, especially if it rains. Our staff serve and clear, so nobody in your party has to serve or tidying up afterwards.

Prices and what affects them
The price comes down to:
- How easy it is to reach the spot
- Distance from us
- Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
- Plates or china
Distance is part of the price: we include travel in the quote, with any London charges listed. Tell us the exact address for an accurate figure.
Details that help
When you enquire, it helps to include:
- Roughly how many people
- Anything the venue has asked for
- Any extras, such as lamb, chicken or china
- Where the event is
When you are weighing up caterers, ask each one exactly what’s included. Ours lists it clearly. To get yours, fill in our quote form.
A hog roast or other catering?
Next to a cold buffet, hot carved pork beats sandwiches every time late at night. When comparing prices, compare the same things: menu, sides, serving time, staff, plates and travel. A cheaper headline price can leave things out.

How it works
Serving is straightforward: our chef carves and our staff fill the rolls or plates, and sides go out at the same time. Afterwards we clear the serving area and pack away. Evening food at a Radnage wedding frequently goes out just as the light fades: sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:25pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. Festoon lights by the carving station look lovely in the photos.

Planning help
Full catering or machine hire?
If you are confident and want to save on staff, DIY machine hire is an option. You cook and carve it yourself; we will explain what’s supplied and how it works when we quote.
You could go for a cold buffet, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience, especially outdoors.

- A way in for the roaster
- A level spot near, but not too near, the marquee
If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Radnage questions
Do you come out to small places like Radnage?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.
Which station is closest to Radnage?
Saunderton station, about 1.6 miles east of the centre.
What’s included?
Rolls with roast pork, stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. You can add lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options, salads, coleslaw and potatoes.
Do we need our own staff?
We carve and serve for you, and we clear up when service is finished.
What about coeliacs?
We can supply gluten-free rolls on request. We’ll give you full allergen information for every dish.
What if things run late?
Because the roast takes hours, we plan from your serving time, and a cooked roast can be held for a while if things run late.
Do venues allow outside hog roasts?
It depends on the venue. Ask your venue early, and we will work with them on the details.
Do you need power or water?
Cooking is gas-fired, so no mains power is needed for the roast. A socket nearby is useful for lighting.
